Admissions & Enrollment

Children can enter PS 1 through the citywide application process facilitated by the NYC Department of Education (DOE).

• How to Apply: Families applying for 3K, Pre-K, or Kindergarten must complete the centralized application through the NYC DOE and list PS 1 as a preferred choice.
• Priority Enrollment: Children currently enrolled in PS 1’s 3K or Pre-K programs are given priority (after siblings) in the Kindergarten admissions process.
